I just sold my D800 and really enjoyed these lenses with it. I am buying a D3s from a board member here and was wondering if anyone has tried these lenses on a D3s and if so what were the results? Pro's, Con's?
I have a 24-70 and 70-200 VR1 right now that I might just use exclusively to shoot bands and concerts with or possibly sell the two primes and the 70-200 and get the VRII version.
Why did you switch from D800 to D3s? I'm interested, as I'm wavering between these 2 bodies as an upgrade to my D700.
In your shoes, I'd keep the primes and save for the 70-200 II. The VRI gets a lot of flack about soft corners on FF, but for a lot of shooting this is pretty much irrelevant.
Ben I used them on my D800 and my D700 and they have a different feel to them. Some lenses work better on different bodies. Doesn't hurt to ask.
I shoot a ot of high ISO and I am just sick of processing 36MP all the time. I shot a wedding over the weekend with my D700 and the processing was so fast and I didn't need 70GB of storage space to do it. I loved my D800 but I just don't need 36MP.

Yes. Won't the corners be dark on images shot at a concert anyway?
