Simple fix. Just hold off getting married until she's 50. By then you'll have an idea of how she'll look when she's older.

This does, unfortunately, happen. Girls should be more aware that - if you put on a lot of weight after the marriage commitment - you are not the same person anymore that your man signed on for.

A while back I read about a study that was done that found that the "happiness" of a marriage is more determined by the girl's weight than the guy's. I don't remember the exact details but the jist of it was that, if hubby puts on some weight, it didn't tend to affect the success of the marriage much whereas if the wife puts on weight, there can be increased dissatisfaction with the marriage.
