Two more shots from last Sunday morning. (I would have done this this morning, but last night's storms knocked out my isp.)
Two different scenes, in another part of the swamp. Just posting one in color and the other in b&w.
The b&w one is with most of the fog, except in the far bg, mostly burned off by the rising sun.
Busy scenes, perhaps, but I find the cypress swamp full of amazing views.
Thanks for looking and as always, any c&c is welcome.
Both are very nice, Barry. I like the first just a little more because the trees have more space between them allowing me to see those very back trees. It has more depth for me because of that. Nice work!
Really beautiful. I particularly like the first one for its stronger sense of visual hierarchy and for the terrific contrast between the red and green hues.
Both of these are so cool. The B&W in #2 looks nice, but for some reason the color shots like in #1 seem to empart that sense of early morning light better.
really gorgeous compositions - both of them. I prefer the color over the B&W in this case. The palette is limited and the colors are rich. Really lovely compo. B&W is terrific when you need to tame a riot of colors and focus attention on the subject. In this case, it's not needed.
I think both the pictures are great as both of them sort of depict different concepts. The black and white one looks vintage but the colored one looks mythical.

Many thanks everyone!! I really enjoy the swamp especially when it's foggy there, so I'm pleased you all enjoyed these.
Phil, it reminds me of that, too.
