p.1 #1 · Sandisk 90mb/second price drop soon?

Hi,

I am overhauling my old cards with get a 3-4 16gb and 2 32gb 90mb/second Sandisk cards from BH.

I see the Lexar 1000x cards are specced faster but priced the same as Sandisk. I also see that Sandisk has introduced a 100mb/second so I want to get a price break on the cards if they are going on sale. Anyone know if Sandisk will be offering a rebate or price break on multiple cards?

I will be getting a D4 and D800 so I need new cards for the RAW files. I only use Sandisk but curious if the Lexars are faster.

I would go with RAW STEEL sd/cf cards, they WRITE 150mb/sec, unlike the lexar's that read 1000x, not write.

He's looking for CF, not SD.

I'm in the same boat as you pjny, but I just look every Sunday/Monday when the new sales are posted, eventually they'll hit. Right now the prices are up to regular prices to get the people who were given cameras for the holidays without a card.

Normally I avoid Lexar cards, but their 1000x CF cards are really nice and faster than the fastest Sandisk CF cards at the moment.

I would wait till you get the D4 before buying memory cards for said product.

Because Memory will become faster over time. And sometimes cheaper. Or there will be some massive closeout sale on previous generation or renaming of the same product. Ex Sandisk renaming the same product.
