These are from one week ago with no winter in sight.
But now it looks like we get some snow the upcoming week.
Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome.

I love both of these, Chris.
Terrific subject, great comp, processing, etc.
And the follow-up image adds a lot.
I had to re-read the title to make sure it WAS IR .
(That's my favorite kind of IR .)

Thank you Charlie.
The sensor of modern cameras block a lot of infrared light.
So if I screw my IR filter on I get a mild effect. Not a bad thing I think.

I guess I'm the odd one out on this... while I like the context that the first picture gives with the trees, I really like the focus on the windmill and the reflection that comes with the vertical frame. The first pictures seems kind of passive & bucolic, while the second picture is much stronger and says, "I'm here to work...let's have some wind..." Plus, I think that the gray of the trees on the left simply adds to the overall gray of the image, while the second image is a much more balanced use of the full gray scale.
Thank you Wes for your in depth thoughts.
I think the composition works well in the first one.
And I do like the second a lot. Maybe because of the reasons you just mentioned.
