Jim, love this stuff! The Turkish lady selling flowers is priceless. What stories that face can tell!
I like the couple as well, and like your glowing effect. Like that the shadows are not contrasty. I would like to see more of the woman's face, especially with that exquisite expression she's making. Nice job!
I do like the second photo - colors, face and background are in nice harmony.
The first shot looks manually blurred to me ... like with a brush (?) Part of the lady's foot is blurred where it should not be and also the wall in the back of the left side of the left leg is sharp, while at the same distance (~) the wall on the right side is blurry. My guess is that the unedited photo could look better unedited.
I'm not so keen on the 1st, I need to see more of her face. Or maybe it would work better if he was looking at her. And the bokeh looks fake, it looks painted onto everything except the subject.
Like others have said, beautiful portrait of the Turkish flower lady! All the colors work so well together, from the sunflowers on her head to her ruddy complexion and native dress. Lighting is perfect. Just a great portrait.
The picture of the flower lady is beautiful, the lighting and the colors looks amazing. I agree that in the picture where you have done the bokeh, it doesn't look too original.
the blur is pretty mild but you need to set up a gradient such that things far away from the point of focus are more blurry and things near the point of focus are well, in focus.
