Any clues on when Canon isn't going to service the M2N? I don't think they service the M2 any more.
I will be needing a new shutter soon and want to wait till last minute.
Thanks.

Canon took the 1D2 off its service list a little while back. So the question is how much longer before the mk2n gets withdrawn.?
Of course as was pointed out above canon are not the only service centre available.
And I will also add why do you know you will need a new shutter soon? Surely if you need a new shutter then you need it now. And if its showing no signs of going then it could either crap out on the next fram or go on for another 100K (or more)
I got the 2n when it first came out.
the 1st shutter made 150k and crapped out, this shutter has 200k on it.Dont want to wait till it has a failure. I replaced the timing belt on my car at 60k rather then wait till it breaks.same thing on this camera.Canon has 6 month warranty.

If and when Canon discontinues servicing bodies and or lenses, the service below might be able to help. They have for me with my 3 decades old Canon gear, ask for Steve, he's a former Canon Tech and he's been fixing and refurbishing gear for decades...no worries.
