p.1 #1 · On the market for a fisheye lens for the D600

I've used the 10.5mm Nikon on a crop sensor before so I know what I'm getting into. Just researching my options right now and wouldn't mind manual focus all that much, but if there's an affordable autofocus option I'd like that first.

If I could get a refurb Nikon 16mm I would jump on that since all of the refurbished D lenses I have are fantastic. Seems no one's selling though.

Some candidates are:

16/2.8D
16/2.8 AIS
16/3.5 AI
Sigma 15/2.8

I've owned the 16/2.8 AIS and 16/3.5 and now I just have two 16/3.5 AI's . . .

Heard good things about the Sigma.

PS - You just have to be patient watching the B&S forums, KEH, and as many used equipment stores as possible and you'll eventually find one.

With the more affordable FX cameras available now (Nikon D600, Canon 6D), it could make sense for Samyang to offer an FX version of the excellent m4/3 and DX fisheyes they already make. That's what I am waiting for.

Sigma 15mm Fish...Love this lens!!....Great lens, sharp, good color. good build quality. Have never tried the Nikon 16mm Fish

I found a beautiful 16/3.5 on the forums here. It was about half the cost of a new 16/2.8 AFD, and from what I can tell, it is as good if not stronger performer.

Sigma 15 2.8. Got one back in my film days, and now I can use it on my D800. Great lens.

I LOVED my 16/3.5 on my D7000/600/800, and really regretting losing that lens when I decided to switch systems. (DTOB has my former 16/3.5 - see his pics above).

Very, very sharp, rich colours, just a terrific lens. I never tried the AF 2.8 to compare, but I had zero complaints about the 16/3.5.

The Russian-made Zenitar 16 is a blast on FX.. you can get one for less than $200!
One of the most underrated lenses ever, plus not a lot of people know about it.

That Zenitar is downright fugly in the corners at anything less than f11.

the 10.5 is worth mentioning, if you chop the hood (I am going to on mine) it makes killer stuff, max simbron can chime in on it but its sharper and fishier than the 16

Before buying one I borrowed my friends Nikon 16mm... I ended up buying the Sigma 15mm, it's my only non-nikon lens...
