Mark, very nice shot. Love the star, you handled the contrast in the shot very well. Things you could improve on from my opinion, would be to tone down or eliminate the vapor trail and clone out the green spots in the river.
Very well done here, especially for only having a DSLR for 7 months. I like the overall look, but I would clone out that vapor trail or lens flare streaking off on the right side of the frame that Rick mentioned.
Also, we prefer the photos here to be posted at 850pix max on their widest edge. It is really hard to get a feel for a shot when one has to scroll to view it.
