Trying my birding gear at waveriders at San Juan beach, La Union, north Philippines. These were taken last January 5th, all with a 1D4, 500 f4 IS + 1.4x, 475B/516 support (EXIF intact). Thanks for looking, comments/tips/suggestions appreciated.

NICE! It is amazing how each genre requires a different level of expertise. I like #3 and the foam and his eyes. Nice job!

I will be in the Philippines in a week. Unfortunately, it will be Manila and not the beach.

1 & 5 are definitely the best shots. I'd like to see them pulled back a little to capture more wave, but that's somewhat personal preference.

These were cropped a little, so I still have some canvas to pull back to. Indeed, when presented in a larger size (say big prints), showing more of the waves will be great. Thanks for the comments.
