Nice shots as always Monkey...

As someone who was born in the Midwest, I don't miss those environments with single digit temperatures.

Beautiful shots, Will. I don't envy the cold temperatures. Could you post a picture of what your rig looks like for those of us that are curious?

Thanks,

Gene

7 degrees. Lord.

Last night the news guys here were saying "It will be down to 25 degrees by midnight, don't leave home unless you have to."

I guess you didn't turn into a pumpkin on New Year's Eve, Will -- you still have the magic touch. All nice shots but #1 is extra special for me. Wonderful light and color, and the background is just right. Makes me want to jump back in the car and head south to your neighborhood. 7 is chilly, but if the cranes can stand it I guess I can too.

Tm,

"Whats old, used, and weighs 12 lbs?"

Boy was I wrong, I thought it was your beard.

Nice shots. BTW, how many shots can you take before you have to lower that rig and rest your arms?

Not too shabby for a 12 pounder. Course my 300 2.8 hanging off the end of the D3s and tc makes for a workout, too.

I have trouble working the camera when it's in the 50s.

LMAO Now that is funny! Just how much does the beard weigh?

I suspect TM is more burly than many of use ... I sometimes hand hold my D300 +grip + 300 f/2.8 but not for long ... I usually use a monopod .... I do need to look into a Bushhawk ... and some leasons from TM

Beautiful stuff BTW TM

Many thanks, Kent. Not my intent, I just get it right in camera and prefer to spend (post time) out with friends and microbrews.

Nope, and the pumpkin seasonal's are gone 'til next Fall You would have gone nuts yesterday (cold and all)
Great ops, they stayed low and switched back and forth between 2 pastures. I got a good spot under some trees
and even had a log to squat on in between waves. Forgot how cold it was pretty quickly. Many thanks, Mark.

Thanks, James. I dunno, a few minutes worth is no problem. It's not like you're shooting in standing
position for hours...ya move around, rest it where and when you can. Squatting elbow on knee gives ya a break
as well as leaning on a fence post/tree. Never give it much thought anymore, been shootin' for so damn long.
