For me, I'm content with my 5DII. Plus, I have a TON of CF cards and I don't want to start collecting SD cards when I already have plenty of memory cards as it is.
But mainly it's because I'm happy with my 5DII. If I were to "upgrade" per se, I would definitely aim more towards the 5DIII.

Ditto. That bucket of CF cards is compelling! The WiFi is nice. But then I can already do quick uploads in the field from my 5D2/7D to the internet on my iPad via USB cable.
A 16gb SD card is peanuts.
If you have a 5d2 then the 6d isnt targeted at you. From my experience I'd rather have a 6d than a 5d2 80-90% of the time but not sure I would sell a 5d2 to get the 6d unless you needed wifi or something.

I like your take on this. My wife doesn't think I need a second camera and its the 6D I'm hovering over...

I think you are more than pushing it here...
6D is clearly a better camera
Higher MP
Higher FPS
Better DR
Better High ISO performance
Better AF
I am not even counting the goodies I personally do not care much about such as Wifi Gps video...
And last but not least, dust cleaning, I can't take the dust bunnies onm y 5D anymore..
Having a 7D and many primes, im really excited about going full frame. but the 6D isnt it for me. 1/4000 shutter is a major let down, so is its the viewfinder, body quality and AF system. i think Canon is toying with their customers to allow an XD to be without these basic pro features. the 6D is consumer grade, and thats why ill be saving for a 5D mk3. the 7D is a better camera is every way except for the sensor.

Isn't the sensor the most important factor?
The 5d was 'consumer grade' it was the same level of xxD updated with a FF sensor.
If you want 1/8000th as compared to a 7d then knock it down to ISO 50 and 1/4000th. Same difference (ok reduced DR but it has more of that than the 7d anyhow).

. I have a 1D3/7D/5D2 but my wife has never seen more than one at the same time, so she thinks I still have one body
Since I sometimes grip my 7D, she must let the sight of the 1D3 simply pass through her mind without a second thought. One day, a reckoning will arrive!
(I hope she doesn't secretly have an account here.)
All you guys griping about 1/4000s max, try shooting an OM-D Not only are you limited by the 1/4000s, but the other punch in the gut is the lowest ISO (at all) of 200!
