I hiked along this creek from camp, only to get skunked waiting for some color from the setting sun. Luckily I was properly prepared for the wait

Waiting for the light...

Hey Zeph,

#1 is a pretty sweet shot here. It may not have had the color you wanted, but it still looks pretty good. Now as to being prepared... unless it's a can of Pepsi, I am sorry, you just really aren't prepared...

Appears to be one of those after-market Canadian bubble levels——I believe they're available at Vistek. Great way to keep the horizon straight!

Nothing like a couple of cold beers to keep a fellow warm

Lovely image. No. 1 does it for me with the leading lines and crisp contrast.

I just ordered a couple of the Can levels. I heard that with use, they become lighter and less precise..

I like the first shot. It's a beautiful location and it's worth a revisit for the dusk colors you envisioned.

Zeph- You'd better straighten the right side of the tripod shot a little before your Canadian level slides off. One percent should do it .
The first image does it for me. A lovely and frigid scene.

You have found a great location Zeph. I use those levels all the time, use enough of them and things will appear perfect.

Lovely light and processing in that first one, Zeph. Amazing how the time flies after a beer or two! ;-) Lizzie
