Someone on CR pointed out that there is a nice free app for iOS/Android called CanonSGLens. It has a database of info on all current and semi-current Canon lenses, includes FOV simulations and much larger scale and clearer MTF charts than are available on the Canon websites and you can quickly flip back and forth between the charts for two different lenses (although seemingly not see them side by side for some reason). It also has all of the interior lens element diagrams, DOF calculator (and simulator for a 50mm lens and fixed subject) and various other tools.
