I've used my D7000 for one year and I love it.
But yesterday when I wanted to eject my flash light,it did not work,
There is this normal click sound that the camera is trying to push out the flashlight but the flashlight did not eject at all.I know how to operate my camera so I know something has gone wrong.
I went to Sequoia Park a week ago so it may be the low temp that caused the problem.
When I exert some force at the edge of the flashlight module as the same time I press the flashlight button I can open the flashlight and can use the flashlight as normal.
Do not know how to fix it.
pls help...........
Check to see if any debris is making it stick. Either that, or send it to Nikon or live with it. If it were mine, I'd probably live with it considering how many times I'd actually use it.
It should be a pretty simple release. Once it is open, a thorough inspection should tell if there is debris or some other issue causing it to stay locked down. But it does require the camera to be turned on so there might be some internal electrical issue.
FWIW, Leighton, I use my built in flash quite often. Whether it is to trigger my 2 - SB800's or just for fill.
