Some experiments from the tail end of 2012, made by enlarging glass negatives (in collodion) onto
a traditional silver gelatin paper, using not so traditional methods to play around/deface the image.
2013 has started with a BANG. I just got picked up for another exhibit. This one was unexpected
being that the juror was Christopher James. Check out the line up of images on this upcoming show
at The Kiernan Gallery.
I have this theory that good things never come alone. In line with such theory two of my images were
also picked up to grace the second edition of the upcoming manual of the amazing Jill Enfield.
This is the upcoming exhibit at the Wall Space Gallery, which will open Jan. 4th in Santa Barbara and then will move on to their gallery in Seattle later:
Congrats Kaden ... while I'll likely never reach your level of alternative or appreciation/respect ... you do continue to inspire the concept of "marching to the beat of your own drum", while sharing your successes vicariously with us.
Just a bit of luck in exhibiting images a la carte. Still working to get to a consistent body of work. A little
difficult because my interests tend to be everywhere. I have yet to learn to let spend quality time on one
single project. It will require being single minded for a while.
Mmmm... I'm wonder if I could scrape-up the bucks to take a trip to one of the Eastman house workshops and whether I can find someone to look after my rabbits? Hmmmm.... Tempting.
I am willing to believe that AuntiPode. Last time I took a workshop at GEH (October 2013) the people attending were 1 from Holland, 2 from Canada, and 2 from California. Being that they are located in Rochester, NY you can imagine that we all traveled from far away. The kind of thing one does only
when worth doing it.
