Weird weather day, hot and windy with a couple of great storm fronts coming up the South Island of New Zealand. So had to get out with the 6d and see what I could grab. Ended up in the wrong place for the good sunset but the right place to get soaked...

Rob,
Superb image. You captured great light on the clouds and stopped motion very effectively.

Hey Rob,

A very cool shot with cool clouds and cool wave action. My only suggestion would be you are blowing out the sky along the horizon. Use a layer mask to protect that area from getting blown out, or blending back in the proper exposure.

Thanks Rand47, Fred & Jim!

Jim I'm only playing with the 6d's jogs at the moment so not trying too hard, once I've an adobe raw converter I'll go back.

I really like this. I know exposure is subjective especially with water movement. Every one has there own preference.
But I think you really got this one right. It is very well balanced.
Thanks for posting

Thanks John, Dennis! I'm not a fan of always going for the super long exposure, when the movement can add such anticipation and drama!

The sky and the clouds are so over-whelming. Sort of scary too! Lovely picture
