p.1 #1 · Sunrise Sequence at Tower of the Virgins - Zion NP

We were there behind the Museum in Zion about an hour before sunrise. I wanted to do some star trails but it was a couple of days after full moon and the moon was really too bright to do any star trails.

Here is a set of three images at the Tower of the Virgins. Your comments and criticism are very welcome.

Hey Maji,

A very nice series of shots here. It's cool to see the progression of the sunrise. #2 is my favorite.

And yes, please post your shots at 850pix wide, these seem too small.

Thank you Kee and Jim. We are very used to seeing No. 3 and to some extent No. 2 also. However, I thought No. 1 is not so common and makes for a different take on a very iconic location.

My larger size images are not being accepted by the forum software, it is exceeding the limits. I am posting the links to my Flickr, in case someone is interested is viewing them larger.

Very nice series. I especially like the last. The shadows in the foregroung against the nicely lit background works quite nicely.

nice images. i shot a similar pattern of events. we went there as well, infact that reminds me of the images i havent yet pp`d from there.

I love the difference in colors caused by the sun. The first one has great coldness to it. Love it.

An excellent series, AMaji- showing the progress of an approaching sunrise.
Alas, in #2 the jet vapor trail points directly toward Las Vegas. Many are the times I've shaken my fist at those planes
