I agree...2 thumbs up! This is very nice. it is a great B&W conversion; the leading lines into the distance are really well done; the details in the trees and the foreground coupled with the falls are really good... Thanks for sharing this.
The clouds are fantastic and I love the areas of light and shadow that they throw into the trees in the foreground. Sure it's been done before as you say, but even so you did it well.

First- this is an excellent interpretation of a classic view.
Second- you came almost halfway around the world to see Yosemite, and that entitles you to all kinds of self-indulgence .
I flew to AussieLand and spent almost a whole day looking at and photographing the Sidney Opera House. Damn straight I did, mate .

Nice shot BUT I would love to see the clouds to look more white and the highlight more intense and vibrant. There seems to be a lot of gray tone in the shot and very little in the zone 7.
You have provided a wondeful sense of place here, I feel as though I am there. When I saw this I immediately thought of an Ansel Adams calendar I was recycling today...(that was supposed to be a compliment).
