Yes, just another road and Everest is just another hill...It must have been quite a sight to come up over a hill and find this view, and I think you've done a great job presenting it.

Hey Phil, I must say the Canadian Rockies are like that, whether on the trail or highway, every bend or hill brings another photo opt...

From the Junction, I've always driven north or south along the Icefields Parkway- and never east to Red Deer. I've missed some beautiful views, obviously.

Highway 11, that goes east, offers many photo opportunities, plus there are many places to camp. I took the road from the Junction to Nordegg and north back to Hinton/Jasper. I've used the area as a base camp, because camping in the park is very limited... I'd like to head up there this winter, but probably won't
Nice shot. I like road shots, since I spend so much time on the road when we're on holidays - driving around
looking for wildlife and the scenery.
In fact we stopped for lunch a couple of years ago at the spot that looks like it could be at the top of the hill
in your picture. It was scenic but very windy. Spotted a black bear on the way back on the highway.
And about 10 years ago or so we also did the drive north from Nordegg to Hinton/Jasper.
Worse road than I thought it would be - especially in a sedan after a rain. Not as scenic as I thought it would
be - lots of trees, not much of a view of the mountains.
