Wanted to work on some natural light stuff and needed a model. I asked my always excited daughter to help me out. IT was a breezy day so the hair was all over the place. All photos shot in manual with the 300 f2.8.
I thought the moon boots (or whatever they are) were a little incongruous but think in other respects the pictures were very nice. I especially liked the last one.
Benee no reflector was used. Light was low and hiting her from camera right. I had to pull back the exposure to prevent the face from overexposing. Lifted shadows in post.
Thanks Jim!! I will keep that in mind next time. Sometimes I get so wound up in exposure and comp I forget about the other things like expression, hands, pose.
I think I need a 300mm lens....lol. Oh, and having a pretty daughter to photograph would help, too. Great pictures. I like the first one best, also. That lens separates your daughter from the background stunningly well....
