This is an amazing combo. You will not be disappointed! Focsing is fast and accurate, performance is superb. Make sure you get Lexar 1000x cards, they make my buffer shooting raw go on for a very long time. My Sandisk extreme 60MB/s cards crap out way too fast... they are old now though.

Used the combo on Xmas day. Low Light. With the flash, you get very, very sharp results on guests. And the colours are pleasant, skin tones are more than satisfactory. At 3200 or 6400 ISO and without flash, AF doesn't seem to work as accurately as in good light conditions. Maybe my fault because of inadequate settings.
Something weird I noticed : when using flash, the camera takes some time before reacting as if anesthesized, it seems less reactive, I don't know why. Well, I know there is a learning curve with the 5d3.
By the way, I was quite impressed with the HDR function. It works well, sharpness is apparently not affected. I really like it, even if the output is in JPEG format.
Bokeh with the 24-70 mm II is creamy and gives an artistic touch to your photos.

I'm getting this combo for my 40th bDay present , any users with the same set up would you mind to share your thoughts?
Focuses really well. I can get 100 shots in a row in focus at f/2.8 under indoor lighting at times. Haven't ever done that with any other body+lens combo before.
