switched my color space setting in my D800 to sRGB but CS6 on my MAC still shows Adobe RGB....do i need to convert the color space to sRGB? thanks

What does the exif show you in bridge? If it shows sRGB then your changing it to aRGB when opening the file in Photoshop. I would assume your using ACR to open your files so you will need to set the colorspace to sRGB.

If you're shooting raw, the color space setting only affects the camera's JPEG previews and histogram. You choose the color space at the time you process the raw file.

In ACR, you can change the color space by clicking at the bottom-middle of the window where it shows the output settings.
