The first game was the defending state champs (in white/red, Div 3) playing the defending state champs (Div 3A) who moved up to Div 3 this year. Chris Game 1 Good battle, but the defending (white/red) champs lost 14 seniors so they're struggling, lost 5-3. A nicely lit rink and I found a seam between the net and the glass for some nice shots. White lost 3-5, Black rallied for 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd, 2 by one guy. 1. 2. Shooter gets his shot off despite #15 smothering him... 3. 4. 5. White (right) took on #15...head blur even at 1/1000 6. White got the worst of it but got up OK 7. Game 2 I went to a rink with so-so lighting and had to shoot TTG for the most part. A lot of the shots I see on here are so crisp and clean. I need to start a new thread to make sure all my settings are what they should be. Are you shooting wide open in these? The first image was going to be a "delete" comment, however then I got my head out of my butt and actually spent some time with the shot and realized you DO have the elements of a great shot, and couldn't have executed that shot again in a zillion years with the puck and stick visible. It seems like your depth of feild is much deeper than mine are normally. Thanks, yup, I'm at ƒ2.8...EXIF is intact in the files so you can see all the settings (need a free viewer like Opanda). And yes, I do some post-processing. Less so on the game 1 pics, but a bit more on game 2...for example I had to deepen the blacks. All sorts of other things come into play such as overexposing by +1 stop or so, etc. Chris You say you deepened the blacks, on my current computer I'm not seeing any detail in the blacks, your monitor brightness may be much higher than mine.
