It's not the end of the Mayan calendar. Only the end of one of their cycles. Nowhere does this end of cycle talk about the end of the world. It's just modern man imposing their own fears where it doesn't belong.
I'm not sure exactly how people mixed the Mayan calendar with the end of the world. All it is, is the end of the 13th Baktun and the beginning of the 14th Baktun. That is all.
Now what? I spent all my pension/IRA/savings/borrowed funds/bonuses/family money/ my kids inheritance and every nickel I panhandled on Nikon gear! I mean Geez! I read it on the internet that the world would most definitely end 12/21/12. I've partied everyday since I discovered we had so little time. It seems to me that I'll have to view these predictions on the web about the same as our weather forecasters.
I did read on the internet that everything is fact checked and true on the internet, I buy everything on the net, I'm really bummed out that I can longer trust my most relied upon source of knowledge. The only good thing is we will be going off a cliff soon, and that is why I bought this bridge in San Francisco.
I'd better Google more about this cliff. It might just be another conspiracy keeping the world going and then POOF!
