Have you seen the Matthews MAXine range? They are integrated stands and booms, easier to fit into a tight space. Add a Magic Finger to the end for extra versatility.

I don't know if the
Matthews MAXine
is better than the
RedWing Compact Boom
but the Matthews is more than $100.00 more. Might make a difference.

Yes, two different things really. As well as being cheaper, the Red Wing also has the parallel motion at the head.

Once you adjust it to the weight of your light, you can push it up or pull it down and it just stays put on its own. Pretty cool.
