D7000 question

I have a question regarding shutter/mirror behavior. (I'm a former Canon shooter, right now just a point & shooter.) My last Canon (50D) had a very convenient feature: with the mirror locked up and AE bracketing set, one shutter press would raise the mirror, and the next would shoot all three exposures, with the mirror remaining up the entire time. Very useful for exposure stacking in a situation where you didn't want to fool around between shots (slow moving clouds, moon, etc). Does the D7000 behave this way?

That was a good feature I liked in my 7D when I had it. From what I understand, Nikon cameras have to drop the mirror to re-cock the shutter.
