BuyDig.com has the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM lens on sale for $399. They also have an additional $20 off via code "PROSLRGRP75K" bringing the total to $379 including next day shipping. For that price I figured it was worth adding to the kit and getting rid of my older Nikon 50mm f/1.8D. Hopefully someone in the market for this lens can also take advantage of this deal.

I believe the Canon version is on sale for the same price as well but doesn't work nearly as good.

I ordered one last night and it shipped today. I also got "24 hour standard delivery", which I've seen some others report as well. Is the Nikon version as hit or miss as the Canon version? I had a great copy of the Canon version, which is why I took a shot on the Nikon one as well.

I believe the QC problems they had only plagued the early versions of the lens. I haven't heard any negative reports from this lens in a while.

I have not had any issues with the Sigma 50 on any of my Nikon bodies.

Last time I play the Sigma lottery. -20 AF fine tune and it still wasn't as sharp as I felt like my Canon was. I think my 50mm 1.8G is sharper. I'm sending it back. What a disappointment. I thought Sigma had supposedly gotten better, but I guess not.

I believe they are authorized dealers. They show up as Beach Trading Co when you search on Sigma for their zip code (08817).
