good vision here but the shot is 1/2 or more over exposed causing saturation in the red channel

Yes, a pretty shot, but J. is right - processing is off -red channel is blown, or incorrectly exposed. Not meant to rain on the parade, just a way to improve. When you can't even see detail in the reds of the leaves (at bottom) - saturation is NOT your friend. Also, why is the stem or stalk funky blurred in the middle near the droplet? (Because the others are tack sharp...)

Hi guys... thank you for the feedback and the pointers of what looks kind of off... that is the only way to get better and I always appreciate constructive criticism and opinions from a few pairs of fresh eyes :-) ...

I didn't noticed the blurriness of the steam until you point it out, it my be particles of the water creating a refraction or something of that sort.
I did drag the expusure .5 to the right :-p ... good eye "jmcfadden"

Here's a little trick for you. Invert your image 180 degrees. Then study it objectively. Artists often used to hold a mirror up to their paintings to study them better. As for John's "eye" - not much gets past him,

...particularly in the realm of exposure.

regarding the red smearing as well as the detail smearing on the stem: looking at the reds and the similar circular sharpness pattern in all the drops, I am wondering if it is just diffraction caused by the droplet edges. This would also explain the fuzziness on the stem.

Tks for the tips and pointers guys, I will do a retake and use the feedback I have gotten from here to hopefully, create a better Image, I do see a few flaws with this one.... I will post it as soon as I do.
