Shot a wrestling quad meet over the weekend, bright gym w/ lots of windows (nice cloudy day); gave me an opportunity to shoot at ƒ4 to get some depth for both contestants...was only shooting red for the paper.
The ref in 2 and 3 isn't doing much for me, but I can see where you're coming from. With three, I don't think the coach on the right ads to anything and I would consider cropping it there.
1 and 4 are the definite winners here. 5 is okay, but the bg is bit distracting. I'd like to see it tighter.
Looks like wrestling poses a million challenges for backgrounds and just being in the right place at the right time for faces and expressions. I agree about the ref in #2, I like him in #3.
