Matt, any suggestions?
The strobes are >80' - 100' up in the catwalks, one Einstein on each side set at 320 to overpower ambient by 2 1/2 - 3 stops. You can't totally eliminate all shadows due to the backboards like you see in #1, 3 &5 because there are no locations directly overhead to place the strobes. Also, due to the strip lights, all the different display ads and the changing colors, and the scoreboard lighting that adds and subtracts total light it's a challenge to control WB & white point without strobes.
bb, Thanks!
EMU won't get a lot of fans in for games like this early in the season unless it's Michigan State last year when the lower bowl was full. Being only 7 miles way from UofM causes them to get easily overlooked.
Matt,
I have two on each end, one on each side of each end. Do you mean two on each side of each end?
I do want to be able to light from overhead and the end, but that won't work due to the harsh shadows created by beams and hanging banners too.
