This was an absolutely beautiful day July 7, 2011.....cool breeze, fresh clean air, and slight cracking of ancient blue ice echoing throughout the bay. Too bad I can't post the full resolution image here because that rare mojo occurred where focus was spot on across the entire frame and it's a joy to zoom in and explore the vast features of this magical place.
My most intense landscape experience ever was just where you took this great photo! I was so stunned by the magnificence of John Hopkins inlet in GBNP. Seeing the Fairweather Range in the distance, in decent weather, is a sight to behold. I believe what you say about the detail in your image. Thanks for reminding me. I may just have to go back there one day (and cross my fingers for good weather).

Hi Ken, yes I did, from our room balcony on the Norwegian Pearl. My wife and I would like to take another trip to Alaska as well in the future but may fly up and rent a vehicle next time.
