great shot, what kind of bird is that?
this thread isn't good news for the wallet.
Thank you, and welcome to FM! This little guy (a Anna's Hummingbird) just staked a claim to the feeder we have out by the back door and wasn't the least bit shy despite chubby being pointed at him.
As far as the wallet goes . . . it'll be the best lens purchase you'll ever make! I don't think it ever takes a bad picture.

I've been researching some teles and super teles for motorsports and wildlife recently, and I've been really enjoying this whole thread, lots and lots of excellent images in here.

Just call it an 'abstract' and you're good. heh I actually kinda like it.
Thanks Seriously, a few months back I've tried a collage made from out-of-focus shots. Unfortunately, I run out of out-of-focus-shots;-)
I should print the picture above really large (4x6feet or so) and smuggle it into the local art gallery. Maybe some guy with more money than taste would buy it...
Heh heh, probably so, Georg.

Hey, Laura...good to see a new chubby thread thanks!
I'll be back with some current captures but thought I'd add a few "oldies" to keep it goin'
