Found this small ichneumon wasp about 5mm body length sheltering on the backdoor frame the other day with the air temp only just above 0'C.
All shots have been focus stacked using zerene. Mags 2X to 5X FF.
The reflections enhance the photos in (to me) a very striking manner.
I've always found such photos to be exceptionally difficult in part because of inevitable coatings of fine dust on the reflective surface. How on earth to you avoid such dust? I can't imagine how to get rid of it in Photoshop if it were as extensive as the glass-like surfaces in my home.
Phil - this was on a vertical plastic surface which does stay fairly clean but i think the low shooting angle I was able to use in most of the shots also minimises the surface detail.
I do sometimes clone out larger specks
