I had to give up shooting yet another sunset over an alpine lake in order to dash up north and get this shot, but I think I made the right decision. It was obvious that the weather would be clearing up by the mountains, and I knew I had a good chance of catching some nice conditions up there.

Thanks, Jim. It's in South Tyrol (Alto Adige). The mountain range is the Rosengarten Group. For the last two years I've been lucky to make jaunts out to Italy to shoot autumn scenes in this region.

No, it's not your monitor. I had been going back and forth on the cyan because I liked how it vibrated against the yellows in the sky, but I think you're right that it was too much. I've just replaced the image with a revised version. Better?
