So forgive the lack of interesting title or subject, but I just received this earlier tonight. Haven't used an autofocus lens in a few years - and I am embarrassed to say I am reading the manual of the camera to use the AF
Heading to Leavenworth, WA this weekend for the Christmas Lighting Festival they have every year and I wanted this lens for the trip for self portraits of the wife and I.
I also ordered this on ebay and got it today - and it works well so far.
Anyways, here is a shot I took on my way home from work tonight. Mind you my last digital camera (1Ds) only would shoot up to 1200, but I never went above 640. This was shot at ISO 3200 and i applied Define 2.0 to this image..
Thanks Dustin! And I'll agree, Canon's EF 85/1.8 is a nice lens (been there, done that.) But what I noticed was HORRIBLE CA. The Nikkor is much better at handling that.
Definitely my next lens. I'm loving 50mm f/1.4G big time. I can't wait to get that 85. My dream at that point is the 24mm f/1.4 and I'll have the only 3 lenses I'll ever need
