I think if the red had been extended to the two triangular sections of umbrella that are at 90 degrees to the existing red, it would strengthen this.

Maybe if you just colored the red bits on the umbrella. It would center all of the focus to the boy and not the bus. Also, his shirt them wouldn't blend into the umbrella.
