Still no NHL to speak of, but the WHL knows how to give fans a good time.
These are from the Calgary Hitmen's 18th annual Teddy Bear Toss, where fans are encouraged to donate teddy bears to a variety of local charities by hurling them onto the ice immediately after the home team scores its first goal. Nearly 22,000 plush animals came raining down this year.
Wasn't quite sure where to post this -- sports, people, or photojournalism -- but I went with sports. Would appreciate feedback from sports shooters on handling crowd / pseudo-jube shots in situations like this:
