Yes, I shot these with kodachrome.
Here's the basic color version with minimum processing. The reason it's minimum is because teasing out some details in the boy's deep and dark eye sockets was a whole lot easier for me in B&W than in color.
So I understand the crit about that- and agree.
But yes, the colors of their clothing is striking.
And this was his daily attire- the tribe didn't know anyone was coming "visiting" until we drove up.

Clarification: 99.999% of my posts were shot with old Canon A-series SLR film cameras- and I always used manual light readings and settings. Here (as usual) I took a light reading on something that was approx 18% grey, set camera accordingly, and took a shot (no autofocus or motor drive).
Sometimes I screwed up the exposure, but at least I could never blame what was then still fairly new technology. Successes were mine ... so were failures .
