Hello everyone,
Here is a small sample of some recent photos that I've taken at Back Bay. There's been a lot of activity lately, and it's been fun to see such a variety of waterfowl and raptors.
As always, constructive criticism is welcome! Hope you enjoy!

Eagles in VA:
Norfolk Botanical Garden (despite the nest being removed)
Honeybee Golf Course
Stumpy Lake
1st Tee out by the VA Beach courthouse
VA Beach Sports Complex
Just to name a few Eagle hot spots local to you.
Like the Bitten and Harrier images. Haven't seen a Harrier this year yet.

Thanks, Ken!
Duane, thanks for the tips. There are actually quite a few eagles at back bay as well. I have seen as many as four at a time hunting for fish. This morning, I got a series of two juvis flying by, but they're cropped pretty heavily. I need to find a way to get closer to the eagles if I'm gonna have any worthy pics. Been seeing harriers and hawks (cooper's, I think) for about 3 weeks now.

Honeybee Golf Course off of Ware Neck Rd is probably you best chance at getting an Eagle catching a fish at close range but you have to walk through reeds to get "close" to the action. It's a confined fishing area for the Eagles with lots of Herons and Cormorants catching Gizard Shad that are too big for them to eat....the Eagles that hang around there benefit from this. Early mornings/late evening is better and when the Eagles are feeding. I want to take up golf just to ride around in a cart with my camera.
