I really like the image.
Dante's View is often a tough place to shoot from.
For one thing, at a mile high it can be really cold in winter at sunrise- as you found out .
Also, the shadows in the valley are a great element, but the sun is directly behind you, so the light on the distant valley and mountains is flat and without detail or texture.
My favorite time to be there in winter is in late afternoon- when the sun is coming in from the left and gives excellent texture to almost everything from this perspective.
