p.1 #1 · D800 video button question

Can it be customized to change the ISO or other options?

I love doing video so much with this camera that I programmed my shutter button to do video. This way I can plug a radio control into the 10 pin port, and start and stop video via radio control. I realize that video isn't everyone's cup of tea though.

It would be nice if all the buttons had more programmable options.
Perhaps I will add a post to that effect so Nikon can see it.
They could also add features in a firmware upgrade.

I wouldn't imagine wanting to reprogram the record button. Thank god Nikon added that feature, as it wasn't there prior to the D7000

I just ask because that was one of the turn offs for me with the D800 and I didn't remember it being programmable when I owned mine. It was tough to get to the mode button without some repositioning of your hand (unless you have some freak show fingers).

I was VERY happy to find that the D4 can be reprogrammed to ISO and the front dial allows you to turn on or off auto-ISO! Very handy.
