I had heard rumblings of this a week or so ago. Sounds like focus peaking finally makes its way to the OM-D! Or smaller focus points...or better video options, or ISO 100, or......
I guess it's focus peaking. HDR and smaller AF points are already available on E-PL5.

Yes...they are available on the E-PL5, but not on the OM-D, so it would be nice to have those features available on the flagship. Especially the smaller focus points. Focus precision is the only area where I feel my GX1 is still noticeably better than the E-M5.
I meant those features are not 'a surprised' anymore so it has to be focus peaking.

No, the feature will tell you if your image sucks or not .

Maybe it will include a feature that will make my photos suck less, requiring less PP which makes them suck even more when I overdo them

I must be the only person on earth who doesn't have a problem with OMD focus accuracy I appreciate my GX-1's pinpoint mode, but truthfully I never really use it, and instead just use a tiny yellow box or the 2nd smallest one.
As for firmware - Olympus could do a lot of work on how the OMD currently operates, because frankly it's complete poop. Typical UI created by hard-headed Japanese engineers = horrible. I wish they'd talk to Panasonic about usability.
MySets are the worst, for sure - what a pointless feature (as-is) on the OMD.
It's not the OM-D's accuracy, per se, it's the ability to place it directly on a focus point. I don't use pinpoint mode on the GX1 often, but the smallest box on the GX1 is about 4x smaller than the boxes on the OM-D, and even the magnify box at 14x isn't as small or precise. The OM-D is very accurate (it nails focus within the focus point box), but it's not as precise (it's harder to place that focus exactly where the user wants it). I also find the OM-D hunts more in very low light compared to the GX1, though both are superior to my 1Ds II in that regard.
If they do add focus peaking it will make me a very happy camper.
Focus peaking is just so nice when your using MF on a moving subject or don't have the time to magnify focus. Its the one feature on the NEX that I miss on the OM-D.
