p.1 #1 · Nik Plugins issue?

Running Win7 64 on an i7, 16GB and an AMD 6950 (2GB). PS CS5 and LR 4.1 with the latest Nik plugins. All updates are done and I have done a fresh install of Windows.

In CS5, when I go into any of the Nik plugins that use the GPU (Color Efex and Silver Efex), and mouse over the stars (add to favorites) or the preview images for the filter, sliders, they disappear. They are still there to click on, they just don't show up. I've tried disabling GPU support in both the Nik software and in CS5 with no difference. Everything still works, its just annoying and they work fine in LR.

Nik support has been no help, just the standard response... patch, disable GPU support, etc.

At this point I'm pretty sure its an AMD driver issue and have tried rolling back to an older version of the Catalyst suite but with no luck so currently running the latest.

Anyone else having this issue and if so, what video card are you running? Or even better, did you find a solution?

Just a quick update; fixed the problem by loading the latest (beta) Catalyst drivers.

Yes, 12.11 (beta8) and it cleared up all the issues with Nik/PS (CS5).

Thanks String thats cleared up that problem .Im still have another one Im having but I think its a driver issue.

I had the same problem and it was video card driver update, fixed the problem.
