Thanks Andre and Dein.
The unusual view was this: I was walking along the edge of an elevated section of the park- next to a railing. I saw the children playing and scooted forward. The path I was on was directly above the bench where the children were. They didn't notice me walking up. I utilized my typical 10-second preparation, took one shot, and backed away from the edge. Even if the children heard the thwap of my old SLR mirror, they wouldn't have known what happened.
