Autumness, a portmanteau of autumn and awesomeness, is how I describe this area in Western Sichuan Province. On the threshold of Tibet, one is able to enjoy Tibetan culture and beauty without technically being in the mystifying land.

Thanks for the kind words.

The region is relatively unknown even to locals although it holds several international honors. It may draw fewer people compared to Jiuzhaigou because getting there is a grueling, dusty battle over desert mountain passes.

Was there. Tough place to get to... even tougher to stay due to the altitude. Nicely done. #4 is my favorite!
