It's worth noting though that these figures represent continuous printing, and when the printer first turned up, it used up rather a lot of ink in cleaning - the message here, being not to ship printers around full of ink, particularly by normal carrier.
I've found this to be true even if the printer is not used/sits for a week. I think it's important that folks consider the fact that this printer is not intended for casual use.
Thanks - I'd only got the printer for a few weeks, so didn't feel I had enough evidence to directly say that this was the case.
I do find Canon's approach to displaying ink levels a little irksome (even with our iPF8300), with big steps in indicator levels making for what seems needlessly inaccurate readings.
