I've never been there so this is very helpful to me. And a cool photo to boot - it gives a nice sense of scale.

Very striking, particularly the first with the near tunnel drawing you in. Does it feel as claustrophobic as it looks though?! Lizzie

Lizzie, it isn't claustrophobic at all.
It's open on top and pretty large inside the tube and the "shot" is taken from behind the tube part shooting back:

Thanks, Bob - that looks stunning too! I guess I just have a bit of a phobia about flash floods - read too much about them when we went to Oman a few years back! ;-)

The Narrows ( also in Zion ) is a much more dangerous place for flash floods
