In the land of the Navajo, there is a place which welcomes the sun. After the quiet stillness of the night, the land beckons the sun as it peeks over the horizon, gazing upon all that lay before it.

Very poetic description Jim. The photo is very nice, with good attention to bringing out the right amount of shadow details.

Very nice warm sandstone colors. I like the little table to the left.
It almost looks like an evening shot to me although I know it isn't.

Lovely, Jim - I like the contrast between warm and cool here; also the sun seems to balance nicely with the uppermost rocky outcrop.

Thanks Gordon, it was definitely a very poetic moment... Even though there were no clouds to speak of, it was a glorious sunrise.
