Critique please.

Mole and scratch under his right eye remain by choice.

For all travelling this week, be safe and have a wonderful holiday!

Regards,

Bob

+1 on staying safe.

Looks natural. I like that.

Very handsome and he is growing up so fast. I don't feel the image needs much pp'ing other than sharpening of the eyes and reducing slightly the highlights on his face. I might darken the left upper side a little more.

This image is really good. If you just feel the need to "Improve" it I would sharpen the eyes, whiten & saturate slightly.

I'm curious why you went with the desaturated color, although I suspect it's because you wanted an older impression. Otherwise, I'd suggest more vibrance and sat and perhaps some vignette. (Although I see a lot of close cropped head shots, I find them something of a fad and suspect including more chest in them may look less dated in the future.)

Karen,

I found the desaturated, albeit minimal, more appealing, the look I was after - his mom can decide which, I know better than to try

The reality: he is strapped into a car seat and I am peering through the open door, evidence of which has been removed, hence no chest.

Thanks for your comments and re-work.

Cheers,

Bob

Adding BW for anyone who might care to comment vis-a-vis color.

Thanks,

Bob

Or, perhaps a pinch of sepia toning and a few tweaks in Silver EFX Pro....

Thanks Karen,

On this monitor a little too edgy for my taste.

I intentionally avoided satisfying my toning 'need' That being said, now that the door is open, perhaps?

Bob

I find the print on the shirt distracting - particularly in the color shot as the red jumps out a little too much for me. My suggestion would be to darken the lettering. Other than that, excellent!

Thank you for your thoughts and looking

- your suggested change has been incorporated via some desaturation.

Bob
